Code of Ethics
The practice of Applied Zoopharmacognosy is to enrich the animal’s environment in a natural and respective way by offering them choices to self-select and self-heal with aromatic plant extracts to support their well-being. It does not replace veterinary care or diagnose the animal.
Self-selection is key to this process. The aromatic plant extracts must never be imposed on an animal if they do not show interest in it. The animal should never be restricted in movement; they should always be able to leave the aromatic extract. The extracts should never be mixed into their food or drinking water.
Although it is not a legal requirement, the animal’s vet should be informed of the consultation held with me. This is to ensure that the animal is not missing out on any veterinary care that may be required.
